Policies
For your safety and convenience, the Yolo County Transportation District requires all YOLOBUS drivers to enforce the following passenger policies:
- Exact fare only--Drivers carry no change
- Shirts, shoes and pants must be worn at all times
- No hazardous substances
- No eating, drinking or smoking
- No unsealed liquids
- All carry-on articles must fit between rows of forward-facing seats without obstructing aisles
- Animals are not allowed on the bus, except those trained to assist their disabled owners
- YOLOBUS may refuse service to persons endangering other passengers, the driver, or the bus

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 requires fixed route bus systems to become accessible to the disabled. One of the requirements is the provision of wheelchair accessible local and city-to-city (intercity) door-to-door transportation (or route deviation service in rural areas) for those persons who are unable to ride fixed route buses due to their functional disability. Getting around on Yolobus has never been easier. Our Bikes on Buses program allows you and your bicycle to travel on any Yolobus. Since all of our buses are now equipped with special racks, almost any kind of bike can be secured to the front of the bus. So wherever the bus goes, you and your bike can go too!
